In the Australian Mining industry, getting an entry level mining job is far from being easy, but it certainly can be done with the right information and a bit of research.

Though most of the positions advertised are for skilled workers, there is still a large market for unskilled entry level jobs in the mining business.

Contrary to the belief of many, even some entry level jobs are reasonably well paid in this industry.

Many companies provide you with a training program that greatly helps in gaining experience. These training programs not only prepare you for the job but after your training they may also offer you an appropriate opening in the job market.

You should be prepared to do high-intensity physical work in some fields of employment. But there are other fields open which do not require physical strength though a high mental strength is required which means you should either know about machinery or another prospering field in mining is to drive dump trucks.

You should also be well equipped with the right license and certificates, such as safety tickets and MARCSTA.

Another thing to bear in mind is some jobs require you to be working for quite some time before getting or even expecting rest. Also because sometimes this work requires a very tight schedule often requiring you to work straight for 12 hours and 7 days a week.

Depending on the firm in which you are being employed you can get work shift for 3 weeks on and 1 week off or maybe 9 days on and 5 days off. All of this suggests that entry level job is also quite demanding and go to this business one should be ready for everything.

Working on a mine though facilitates you with good financial basis but the environment in which you will be giving your service is the most taxing part. Following the instructions well under the circumstances with all the safety that can be followed should be constantly in your mind as you will be in fairley treacherous surroundings.

Although unskilled, there are quite a few entry level mining jobs in mining industry. Starting from the top you can be office staff, cleaning staff or catering staff. Other positions that you can go for are laboring position, trade assistants, security, gardeners or drillers assistants.

The more experience you earn in the mining job, you have more chances to earn more money by moving to a higher pay scale and even to a higher grade. It’s not that entry level job does not provide you with enough money, but after getting some experience it definitely increases.
